Hmmm..... interesting! What do you all think!

I'll tell you - lately I have been taking the intensity down - not so much with the weight training or yoga, but doing less with the jumping rope, Kettlebell swings, sprints, burpees, mountain climbers etc, etc - any kind of cash out work, or circuit training. I've been sticking to my strength work and yoga only, and you know what? I LOOK better. I FEEL better. I'm not nearly as hungry. I think that is the KEY. I am not nearly as hungry, so I have more control of what I put into my mouth, so I look better overall. Go figure. Some fitness professionals out there say that cardio is not necessary at all if you eat right and lift weights. Others say it is necessary depending on your body type. It also probably depends on your goals, what you like to do, and your appetite control. Cardio just makes me hungry and negates my damn efforts!
ALSO - as we go through stages in life our bodies change, our hormones change, so should our exercise program. I've got something that works for me - for now anyways. :)
I think it is important to acknowledge what your body CAN do for you and what is good about it - us women beat ourselves up all the time. I get tired of comparing myself to others. I think you all should pick something about your bodies that you like. I know most of you reading this blog work damn hard at exercising. I sure as hell do! I did 225 lb hip thrusts today, 155 - 195 lb deadlifts, inverted rows, LOTS of push-ups, bulgarian split squats, sumo walks, and practiced handstands. So shouldn't I like what my body is and can do? Instead of griping about it?
I actually like my ankles. Weird - right? Ha Ha. They taper. I like that look. (Even Zuzka doesn't have that, LOL! ) Z has a teaser of her Upper Body Inferno routine on her FB page today if you want to take a look and check it out.
Hope you are all enjoying your weekend!
