I'm still not getting excited from anything in the fitness world these days. I for one am also getting sick of seeing Zuzka's nearly naked butt in half her workouts.
She also did the foam roller challenge that Jillian Michaels posted last week and really? Shame on both of them. Silly and dangerous - IMO! I know there was a reason for it - but keep exercises like that in a PT's office, not on YouTube for the masses.
I am a fan of pull-ups, and I know they are hard to learn. They are tons of articles out there on them, and here is a good one. http://www.strongfirst.com/one-good-rep-perform-perfect-pullup/ I love the Strong First company. They have some super tough certifications and challenges. They have one coming up in October 1st - the deadlift, pull-up and Kettlebell snatch challenge. I wish I knew about it sooner. I would have loved to have trained for this and asked my gym to host it. I NEED something like this because I'm bored.
I thought a few of you might like this article: http://www.popsugar.com/fitness/Inner-Thigh-Exercises-3933054#photo-3933054. It is about inner thigh's - which I think working out alone can be a waste of time, but this is a pretty damn complete lower body workout. It incorporates some core and yoga moves as well as leg moves. I actually kinda like it.
A while back I had downloaded a workout plan from Strength Matters and I was considering diving into it now because I am bored, but it is missing some of my favorite exercises, so not sure I would enjoy this either. I'm all over the place! It is strictly Kettlebell based, so if any of you love those, then you might really enjoy this program. Give it a look HERE.
I'm off to workout in a bit, but with less motivation than usual. UGH!
Welcome to my BLOG where we can talk about Fitness, Health, Nutrition, and everything health & wellness! It is my hope that this blog will help you be more fit (maybe even a little sweaty) and more nutritionally aware. Remember, your body is your temple, and it is the only one you have. If you don't take care of it, who will? I am not claiming to be a guru, nor is this to replace medical advice - it is simply a place to voice opinions on how to better yourself. Comments are welcome.

I'm in a similar rut. I just can't seem to snap myself out of it. Summer is fast approaching here in Australia and I'm just dreading it. Almost 40 degree (celcius) heat is really hard to deal with. It's nice here so far, so I am trying to go outside and be active. But like you, I'm bored.
ReplyDeleteI've noticed Marianne from myomy is posting 'wee workouts' to help people get back into the swing of things. It's nothing new or exciting and hasn't quite motivated me, but I'm adding them on to whatever I do for the day. Just going through the motions!
I'm sick of all the fluff zuzka is doing. I might unsubscribe from her YouTube channel.. Haha.
What is zuzka doing? I don't like the workouts a bit. She even doesn't look as lean as before. Where did zuzka's intense workouts go? I want to someone like zuzka advanced as zuzka but in 20ies and have followers around that age, worksout intense but really intense, with no gym and free weight. I dont like zuzka doing fit slide or stretch &tone(i hate this one and latest 5minute workouts) I'm absolutely not getting zgym membership anymore
ReplyDeleteI think Zuzka looks amazing, but I am sick of seeing her naked butt constantly in the camera. I am mean it it always there I'm over it. She is more muscular than before, so perhaps you prefer her with less muscle.
DeleteI think her stretch and tone is a break from her other intense workouts - she doesn't advocate them every day. I am not sure if the slider workouts are tough or not, I have not done them.
I get bored with workouts, too. But it's work and doesn't always need to be exciting. I see it as, just do the work and feel good for the rest of the day. I hear people say the same thing about food, especially lunch. I often eat the same thing for lunch and I'm not bored because lunch is just to keep me from feeling hungry. Perspective is important.
ReplyDeleteYes, very true. I feel so much better after a workout that I always go back for more. It is my medicine in life, so I find motivation within. It is just far easier when the workouts excite me!
DeleteI agree with you on Zuzka always on her bathing suit. I guess it goes back to her old porn days. Once a porn always a porn ha
ReplyDeleteI've been kindof bored with workouts too recently. I've been trying to figure out how to add some more spice to them. Hmmm...
