The RIO Olympics!

What have you all thought about the Olympics so far? I find so many of the women - the sprinters, the swimmers, the divers, the gymnasts, the volley ball players, etc etc etc SO motivating. They are definitely freaks of nature, so talented, but also have worked extremely damn hard to get to where they are.
I even think it is GREAT that one of the gymnast competitors was a 41 year old female. WAY to go!

A lot of the female competitors get compared to the men. We are WOMEN not men. Can't they just leave it alone? And YES often times we can be better than men - even in physical ways. GEEZ.

Here is an interesting article on some of the sexism in the Olympics:

I sometimes think sexism is taken way too far, but the article is great. It points out the ridiculousness of some of the people's comments, and some of them are down right offensive. You would never catch them saying that sh*t about the male participants.

OK, but now I am going to make a sexist comment of my own. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the male synchronized divers - not only for their freakish athletic abilities, but for their unbelievably in-shape bodies. I could have watched them all day long! LOL.

  1. I agree about the male divers - they are so lithe and lean but how do their teeny tiny trunks not come off? we have also been more intrigued by the diving pool turning into a murky green pond! I certainly would not want to even put a toe in that!

Having said that I could watch the male rowers all day long!
