But she did deadlifts (not all the way to the floor though, that would have made it harder), and her ballerina deadlift/squats as well. Awful girlie sounding name for a hard exercise! But I do like that Z is encouraging women to lift heavy.
She also posted a bodyweight exercise for free on her FB page which I found harder than this monster workout only because I'm used to heavy deadlifts and jumping rope, the ninja jumps, plié jumps and super girl bird dogs I have not practiced in a long time. I tried it today and I looked like I fish out of water! Lol.
On a nutrition note, do any of you count macros? I used to, but found that it made me a little crazy. I do think it is worth it to find out how much you're eating - especially protein. I'm always short on protein! That I have to watch.
But here is a great article about macros if you're interested in getting started on something like it: https://idealfit.com/counting-macros/
Right now I find that cutting out night time eating works super well FOR ME. I am definitely hungry is during the day, and if I get in enough calories during the day, I can typically fast from 6 PM at night till about 6 AM or 7 AM the next day.
This helps me avoid all the late-night snacking and therefore avoid an extra 300 to 500 cal a day!
Finding out what works for us individually can certainly take some trial and error, I can also change over time.
Wish me luck with my broken feet finger( pinky) 😥 I'm gonna be lot more active I will not say anything bad to anyone I'll be running I'll even give money to a homeless if it heals 😓
ReplyDeleteGet well soon! The same happened to me..unfortunatelly twice. It was pretty hard for me, because I couldn´t do so many things I love (kickboxing, running, HIIT, etc..). But now I really appreciate the beauty of movement!
DeleteOh no!!!! Hope you heal fast!
